Counsellor and Hypnotherapist
I am a Counsellor and Hypnotherapist in private practice in Kloof, KZN. My clients come from many different backgrounds but they all share one thing in common – there is something in their lives that they want to change, get some help with or to maximise their potential.
I work with corporate executives, new moms who are juggling career and motherhood, people returning to the workforce after many years, life changes such as emigration, new roles and career changes.
The counselling style used is Rogerian Theory or Person Centred Approach. Please see tab under Counselling for more information.
The Hypnosis component of my practice has become ever more popular. It started as a small part of the practice and now is at least 50% of the client base. Working with hypnosis has helped many clients overcome compulsive behaviours, smoking, stress, anxiety and many other unwanted habits and behaviours. Please go to the Hypnosis tab for more information on this worthwhile, effective tool.
How can I help you
When we encounter crisis in our lives, emotional upsets, relationship breakdown, death, divorce, endings in all their form (be it leaving our country of birth or ending a negative relationship) these events all affect us emotionally. Some people will become angry, others passive, others make their tragedies into hilarious stories. However, we are all affected and process our experiences completely differently. My role is a facilitator to assist clients to understand these processes and choose the best paths and techniques available to them.
It’s about Trust
We are also an incredibly sociable species and we often will seek validation from others that we are doing the “right thing”. This can be highly comforting but it can also make us fearful to buck the status quo or to do something that our friends or family are unfamiliar with. It is through the process of emotional rationalisation and release that we can find the courage to trust just ourselves and to trust that we are doing what feels right for us.
I hope you will find this site informative and useful and I welcome feedback and enquiries.
